Squirt Select Opens Season with Tournament Win
On November 27-28 the KC Stars Squirt Select ventured to the Affton Americans Thanksgiving Tournament and came away as Tournament Champions! They went 3-0-1 over the weekend and outscored their opponents 22-5. The opening game on Saturday saw the Squirt Select team down a strong Affton Americans A2 team by a score of 5-1, later that day the Stars cruised to an easy victory 11-0 over an overmatched Affton Silver team. Sunday morning brought a hard fought game against the Chesterfield B team where the Stars battled back for a 2-2 tie. That put the Stars in the championship game against the same Chesterfield team, where the Stars prevailed by a score of 4-2. Congratulations to the KC Stars Squirt Select team for a great opening weekend Championship!
