KC Stars Hockey Director Update:
J.F. Quintin Named Travel Hockey Director

On behalf of the Kansas City Stars Hockey organization, I am pleased to announce that J.F. Quintin will be the Stars’ Travel Hockey Director for the coming season. J.F. will be helping me organize, implement and manage all aspects of our AA and A level travel hockey programs, including coach selection, training and support, team formation and selection and player skill development.

With J.F. on board, it will free me up to focus on bringing new players and families into the program and to maximize my commitment to improving our house hockey and developmental programs.

J.F. brings thirteen years of professional hockey experience in the NHL, IHL and Europe to our program. He has been a Stars coach for over five years. His extensive playing and coaching experience combined with his infectious passion for the game of hockey make him one of the most successful coaches in our program. His Pee Wee AA teams have won three Midwest Hockey League titles. He is one of best teachers of the game of hockey in Kansas City.

In my role as the Stars Hockey Director, I identified an opportunity for a dedicated individual to oversee the travel program and to be proactive and responsive to the needs and demands inherent in higher level competition. We are committed to selecting the best coaches in our area and to giving them the support and tools necessary to be successful. I am confident J.F. will embrace this role and make the Kansas City Stars travel program the best in the region. Our goals are to be the best teachers of the game, to make the game fun and to compete with the best programs in the country at the A and AA levels.

Selecting the travel coaches will be one of J.F.’s first tasks. He will also be assisting with travel player evaluations and travel team selections prior to the start of the season. J.F. will assist all travel coaches in developing consistent practice plans, establishing clear and open lines of communication with the parents and players, as well as helping create in-season programs designed for specialized instruction.

Please take a moment to congratulate J.F. when you see him at the rink. Rest assured, his work is already under way. Look for more announcements as additional programs are put into place for the Stars organization.

Regards,

Tom Tilley
