The Kansas City Stars Midget AA High School Program landed four players on the 2008-09 Midwest High School Hockey League All-Star Team as voted by the League’s Coaches. Leading the Stars contingent of four Juniors is defensemen Matt Curry (Olathe Northwest High School) who was named First Team All-Star. Joining Curry for post-season honors and a spot on the West All-Star Team is defensive partner John Buckley (Rockhurst), Stars leading scorer forward Conner Hanlon (Park Hill South), and goaltender Austin Hoglen (Blue Springs South). The MHSHL All-Star Game was played in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday March 7, 2009.

The naming of four players to the MHSHL All-Star Team is a significant accomplishment for Coach Gary Emmons’ Program in only its second year.
