Thank you for registering your child to participate in our Try Hockey For Free clinic this Saturday February 16, 2013. We are looking forward to seeing your family at KC Ice Center, 19900 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS!  KCIC is Located on Johnson Drive next to the beach volleyball courts and across from the baseball fields.

To make sure you enjoy your first youth hockey experience, below are some helpful tips.

TIME: Please plan on arriving at the rink at 1:15pm to check-in and get equipment. Your child’s actual on-ice time is from 1:50pm-2:50pm.

EQUIPMENT: We will have instructors on hand to help suit up your child; you can see how the equipment goes on by checking out the Getting Dressed video.

What to bring: We encourage those who have access to hockey equipment, to please bring it. If you do not have any equipment, you will need to bring:

- A pair of sweatpants or snow pants

- A pair of gloves (they don’t need to be hockey gloves- mittens are fine)

- A bicycle, snowboard helmet, or other helmet

- A Smile

What will be provided:

We have skates and a limited amount of equipment available for you to borrow. If you have any equipment questions, please let us know.

ON-ICE EXPERIENCE: We will have plenty of coaches on hand to give your child a great youth hockey experience, they will get an opportunity to learn the basic skills of youth hockey and enjoy their first game.

PARENT INFORMATION SESSION: There will be a quick parent Q & A session at 2:15pm in the party room.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me at 913-851-7768 or admin@kcstarshockey.com.
