KC Stars JV/Varsity Mid America High School Hockey Information
The Stars will form JV and Varsity teams that will play in the Mid America High School Hockey League (aka the Metro HS league). Most of the games are set up so JV and Varsity play back to back games on the same day however sometimes the schedule varies depending on ice availability. This league is a “Pay to Play” league. There are no tryouts other than earning a spot for the Varsity team. We also have swing players that play both JV and Varsity games.

House League Season Fees:

Local Metro High School - $325 (Team fee only). Ice Fees are paid directly to the Mid America High School Hockey League www.mahshl.org.
House Player Jersey Information- Player fees do not include jerseys or socks. This will be a transition year for house jerseys. If everyone on your team already has a set of Stars game jerseys, you will be able to wear your current jerseys. If there are just a couple new kids on your team, we have a few Stars custom game jerseys in stock to buy. If there are several kids on your team who need new jerseys, all players will need to buy a set of home and away CCM jerseys from Play It Again Sports. The CCM jerseys are approximately half the cost of Stars game jerseys. In all cases, the entire team must wear the same jersey style. Orders for jerseys will be taken in September after the teams are formed. The cost for Stars custom game jerseys is $65 each. The cost for CCM game jerseys is about $30+ each. Sock Information- If you are a new player, you will need to purchase a set of home and away socks from Play It Again Sports. Please tell them you are playing on a Stars house team.
House Player Game and Practice Information- House player evaluations and practices will start either late August or the first of September. The evaluation schedule will be announced shortly. Mites, Squirts, PeeWees and Bantams get approximately 18-20 games and 31 practices. Atoms receive approximately 18 games and 27 practices. Games will start mid to late October. Tryouts for House Select will be later October or early November. The house league season will end the first weekend of March.

Midget Travel - Jets HS JV and Varisty $3,920 ($2,920 base fee + $1000 for bus and lodging)
Travel Player Notes for Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam:
Travel fees for Squirts, PeeWees, and Bantams includes two practices a week that are 90 minute practices, for a total of 72 hours of practice. It does not include team fees, uniforms or coaches fees. Travel players will use the same jerseys/socks as last year, new players will need to purchase uniforms from Play It Again Sports. Please wait to order your jerseys till after you are on a team and your team manager approves your jersey number.
Midget AA Jets MWHSHL Notes:
The Midget AA fee is an all inclusive fee that includes practices, games, coaches fee, bus transportation and lodging. It does not include uniforms. Each player will need to purchase new Jets uniforms. Your team manager will communicate more information regarding uniform purchase.
2011-2012 Registration Information for all Players
All house and travel players must register online before August 31st to avoid a $50 late fee. Midget AA/MWHSHL players have till September 15th to register.
Step 1 - Register with USA Hockey and get Confirmation Barcode #:
You must be a member of USA Hockey and renew each season. You may obtain this by going to www.usahockeyregistration.com. The cost is $38, ages 6 and younger are free, check that you will be playing in the state of Kansas no matter where you live. They will email your confirmation number to you. Please print your receipt and enter the barcode number into the Stars online system.
Step 2 - Click on the Below Registration Link, Login and Register Online:
Please use your Stars login you currently have or create a new one if you are new to the Stars. *Remember to save your login user name and password for future use. For security purposes, it may ask you to login twice.
Payment Options:
Option 1: Pay in full online by Credit Card.
Option 2: Pay in four equal installments online by Credit Card. Your fee will be divided into four equal payments with the first payment charged immediately. Remaining payments will be charged to your credit card Oct 1, Nov 1, Dec 1. (Local Metro High School House payments will be charged half at time of registration, and the other half on November 15th.)
Option 3: Pay offline by check to KC Stars in full or in payments. After you enter your players personal information online, you will need to submit a check to KC Stars for a minimum of 1/4 of the registration fee. Your registration will not be complete until we receive your check. You will recieve an invoice monthly for the remaining three payments unless you pay in full upfront.
