Hope your spring is going great! I wanted to take the time today to reach out to all the families from last years Stars High School Program and the players and families who may play this upcoming 2016-2017 season.  We have some very exciting news and some great changes to the program to share with all.

1) Jim Krueger will be our new Director of the High School Stars program as well as the Head Coach for the varsity team. We are extremely proud to have Jim stepping into this position and we believe it will help with the overall structure and development! Jim grew up in Des Moines, Iowa playing AA travel hockey for the Des Moines Jr. Buccaneers and high school hockey for the Des Moines Capitals. He played Junior hockey for the Utah Jr. Grizzlies and College hockey for Drake University. Jim has coached travel hockey for 10 years. He's very organized, communicates well and works hard at developing each player. He coached two teams to the Missouri State Championships, two years in a row.

2) Next years practices are being proposed to be ran after school or in the early evening.  We as an association are going to try and move away from the late night practices with this group if we can.

3) Jim Krueger along with the Stars organization will run a summer Skills/team building clinic starting in mid to late June.  We are looking at 6-8 weeks to help the kids get ready for the upcoming Season!

We are confident the above items will help move the High School program in the right direction.  We appreciate all of the families that have played in this league and welcome the new ones!
